Cultural Heritage Awareness for Latinos/as/x immigrants.
During the 3 workshops people will explore and share their experiences as immigrants and why do they decided to immigrate to the USA, how they identify themselves as Latinos/as/x. The cultural differences of many cultures we come from and the acceptance of the diversity that exists in each culture for the better understanding that we are not a homogenous group but unique in the culture we bring to the USA. Will also help participants to understand the process of integration versus assimilation and value their ancestry and history as makers of the culture in the USA. |
Cultural Awareness for the English speaking community about Latinos/as/x and their contributions to this country.
During the three workshops people will explore their own cultural heritage and the experience of their families as immigrants to this country. How the USA has created a new culture and how things are changing as we recognize the cultures of those who lived here before us those who we brought for other purposes and have become part of the USA. |
