PRACTICE YOUR SPANISH
VOLUNTEERS
Do you want to practice your Spanish? Are you interested in improving the lives of Spanish speaking people in your community? Do you want experience teaching English as a Second Language in a casual environment? If you answered yes to any of these questions and have at least two free hours a week, Edúcate Ya has the perfect opportunity for you!
One of our most popular community programs is Intercambio de Lenguas, a program that matches Spanish speakers who need assistance with their English with other locals who would like to improve their Spanish. Volunteers are trained to be ESL tutors and are matched with Spanish-speaking community members who want to improve their English. 90 minutes of the class is dedicated to practicing English, the last 30 minutes are for Spanish. Intercambio is a great way to make new cross-cultural friendships and networks.

We are currently recruiting administrative volunteers to help us with outreach and networking efforts to better promote this program within the Portland Latino community.

- Must attend a 3-hour training session to begin teaching
- Minimum commitment of 2 hours a week for 6 months
- Must be reliable
- Strong proficiency in English required

APRENDA Y PRACTIQUE INGLÉS

Intercambio es uno de nuestros programas más populares y totalmente gratuito para practicar y mejorar su nivel de inglés.
Educate Ya les asigna a un tutor voluntario para practicar 2 horas una vez por semana durante un periodo de 6 meses, al término del programa si desea continuar podemos asignarle otro tutor o el mismo.
