• If there aren’t any upcoming classes that fit your schedule/level, let us know and we can see what options are available for either organizing a new class, or placing you in a group that is already active.​
• If all groups are full, we will add you to a waiting list until we get enough students to start a new group. We need a minimum 3 students to start a group.​

Our Spanish language program integrates three main learning tools: reading, writing and grammar with emphasis on pronunciation practice in order to develop communication skills.

Teaching Methodology​
​
The teaching method is customized to the learners' needs and interests, based on the Paulo Freire methodology, what is applied to the teaching of Spanish as a second language. Students contribute their insights and ask the questions necessary for critical analysis.    

We offer small, intensive classes at all levels, year-round, and we also motivate students to participate in a full immersion experience in a Latin American country. All our teachers are native speakers with professional and special training.
 
Student Needs and Cultural Understanding

EDUCATE YA is a small Latino nonprofit organization and our staff can attend to the needs of each student. Our goal is to promote dialogue between non-Spanish speakers and the people of Latino cultures; in order to reach that goal, we make the experience of every participant our concern.
 
We offer small groups, intensive classes at all levels and private one-on-one or semiprivate (two students). EDUCATE YA is open year-round except national holidays and Christmas break.​

Spanish On-Site Classes​

We go where you are!

• Classes can be weekly or bi-weekly for 2 hours at the time (or can be negotiable). The minimum number of students is 5 and the maximum 8. There will be also an extra cost per student for the book used and materials.

• $85 per hour with a minimum of 20 hours of instruction for one term of 5 or 10 weeks
• The best value of $65 per hour if you contract for two terms.​

Conversations Classes at Edúcate Ya are a unique way to learn Spanish in Portland. Learn Spanish while having real life conversations with instructors and students completely in Spanish for two hours a week. These classes help right before a trip to a Spanish speaking place, if you learn in a different way than just reading from a book, or if you pick up languages best by being immersed in them.
