El mate tiene una gran importancia cultural, social y económica para el país de habla hispana más grande de América Latina. Los asistentes al festival Día del Mate de Edúcate Ya escucharán a nuestro argentino residente hablar sobre los beneficios para la salud y la importancia social de esta bebida amarga; y gracias a nuestro patrocinador Guayakí, habrá mucho mate para todos, así como algunas de las delicias más dulces que Argentina tiene para ofrecer. Después de la demostración de mate, recibiremos a un orador invitado para sumergirnos más profundamente en la rica y diversa cultura de Argentina.
Las presentaciones serán en formato bilingüe y todas las nacionalidades son bienvenidas a celebrar. Tomar mate es una costumbre social y, como tal, alentaremos a los asistentes a socializar con sus vecinos tomando una taza caliente después de las presentaciones.

Activities: raditional Posada: We'll recreate the traditional posada with carols and songs. Piñata Workshop: Join our piñata-making workshop, craft one from scratch, and showcase your creativity. (The workshop costs $15 per person, including materials) More workshop information below Festive Dinner: Indulge in delicious tamales and rich champurrado. Toy and Piñata Raffle: We'll raffle off some toys and piñatas for the children. Candies for the little ones. Piñata Breaking: We'll raffle off some piñatas and also break one with the kids! |

Join Edúcate Ya to celebrate Argentina’s favorite drink!
Mate holds great cultural, social, and economic importance to Latin America’s largest spanish-speaking country. Attendees at Edúcate Ya’s Día del Mate festival will hear from our resident Argentinian about the health benefits and social significance of this bitter drink; and thanks to our sponsor Guayakí, there will be plenty of mate to go around, as well as some of the sweeter treats that Argentina has to offer. Following the mate demonstration, we will host a guest speaker to dive us deeper into the rich and diverse culture of Argentina.
The presentations will be in bilingual format, and all nationalities are welcome to celebrate. Drinking mate is a social custom, and as such, we will encourage attendees to socialize with their neighbors over a warm cup after the presentations.

The cultural center Educate Now! presents in its new cultural center for the first time in Portland the contemporary art exhibition titled "Navegantes" by Chilean architect and visual artist Fabian Caro Roman. With his multiformat work, he presents us a creative universe full of fantastic characters extracted from the world of dreams, and with a refined technique, it will be a great attraction for all lovers of contemporary and surrealist art.
With over sixty artworks, the artist presents us a body of work filled with robotic gods, metallic spawn, and a great number of fabulous characters that emerge from the surrealist exercise that connects the unconscious and matter and invariably shapes the infinite faces of archetypes.
In the brand-new cultural center of Educate Now! located in the heart of Portland, we will have the pleasure of exclusively receiving Fabian Caro Roman's work, which will impress us with his creations and his distinctive style that has led him to showcase in galleries and cultural centers in Europe, South America, and now in the United States.
In this surrealistic journey where we will all become navigators and protagonists of a voyage, we will encounter fertility, eroticism, magic, and the impeccability of mind-blowing characters assuming forms as original as psychedelic ones.
However, the author's plastic proposal goes beyond that. His metaphysical pantheon acquires prophetic characteristics because each of its members is also a cyborg, that fusion of the organic and the machine that is envisioned as the inevitable destiny of our species.
