On the fifth of May the celebration of the Mexican army over the French for the Battle of Puebla takes place. Nowadays, this date is celebrated more so in the United States than in Mexico, some believe the reason is because saying “Cinco de Mayo” is much easier than “Diecisés de Septiembre” Mexico’s independence day. We invite you to celebrate this multi-cultural event with us on MONDAY MAY 6TH at the Oregon Public House on NE Dekum st, where we will be tha Non-profit of the day. A percentage of the sales will be donated to support our free programs available for the latinx community in Portland. |
El 5 de mayo se celebra el triunfo del Ejército mexicano sobre el invasor francés tras la Batalla de Puebla. Esta fecha se celebra más en Estados Unidos que en México, unos piensan que la razón es porque decir Cinco de Mayo es mucho más fácil que Dieciséis de Septiembre, el día de la Independencia de México. Los invitamos a celebrar este evento multicultural con nosotros en Oregón Public House el LUNES 6 DE MAYO, donde seremos la organización del día, así que un porcentaje de las ventas será donado para apoyar nuestros programas gratuitos para la comunidad latinx en Portland. |
